Eve-Day-Boxing

We went to weiliat's place on christmas eve for gathering. I met alan at bishan to get some stuff at the supermarket and we met lichun and dingxiang there. dingxiang drove so we took his car to weiliat's place. dingxiang bought a fhm magazine at the ntuc as presnet for the gift exchange and i thought it is only suitable for a guy, not girl. At weiliat's place, they were wrapping their present and i commented that the strip of calendar (strawberry shortcake) that dingxiang attached to the present is cute, and he said whether i want to to have the present, which i said no of course. lichun then told me that normally on christmas gift exchange, the present that a person said he/she doesn't want would normally go to him/her during the exchange. And it actually came true!! I drew the number for that fhm mag? can't believe that what lichun said was so true....this is scary...ahhahah..from now on, i will never say out that i do not like a particular present that i see. luckily kevin was willing to exchange with me and i got a cd rack, bought by weiliat. there was only me, alan, lichun, dingxiang, weiliat, deric and kevin for the potluck dinner and jingyun came quite late so we saved her some food. first time i see at a potluck that all the food were finished, also because we didn't bring that much food....we watched american pie-band camp after dinner and it was so funny : ). teow came late at about 1 plus and xuhong came slightly earlier than him. we just watched dvds the whole nite, but most of us fell alseep, only left jingyun and alan who continued to watched until 6 plus in the moring. we left weiliat's place at around noon and went to mos burger at J8 for lunch. we had interesting conversations about sad state of north korean's lives, on whether what we think they should have is something they wished to have? the conversaton reminded me very much of my american studies class...the conversation also covered u.s. and other countires....quite interesting and thought-provoking.
that evening, yanhui, theresa, yanxi and alan cameto me place for dinner, just a small gathering....watched princess diary on ch5.which the girls liked....that's christmas day....
boxing day morning, went to gym and then headed home. slacked during the afternoon, then went to xieliu's place. met kian teck at causeway point but he didnt get present and food, so he told me he will reached xieliu's place later. sharon forgot her present and went home to take. eric came and so both of us walked to xieliu's place first. we updated each other about what we are doing currently. have not seen him for 4 years since he went to australia to study...the gathering was fun. there was xieliu, yating, sharon, yufeng, chi keung, junxiang and his wife, shirley and kianteck. shirley bought her friend to meet us. seems like a good guy for her....we played polar bear after dinner, exchanged presents and then me, yating, sharon and shirley stayed late to listen to xieliu's story on how she got together with her bf. i got a water bottle for the gift exchange, bought hastily by kian teck but it looked quite nice.
really enjoyed the gathering with my friends this christmas and i cherished it because some of them are leaving for overseas studies next year, so next year's christmas i might not see them, and things will get quieter...sigh....evveryone is starting a new chapter in their life, including mine. hopefully i can still keep in touch with them : )
