Another year older.....sigh.....last sat met my sec sch classmates for ktv at woodlands...it was fun. They got me a cake and arranged for the lights in the room to be switched off when the waiter brought the cake in...so sweet...: )actually was not in a good mood when i woke up that day, probably because of my job search problems...but seeing what they did for me lifted my spirits. KC and his girlfriend only joined us for dinner and got me a gift too. The girls all bought tickets to watch symphonia concert this friday. They have never seen my concerts before so I am really touched and happy they are coming. On sunday, met jinshan and gang at bugis and they celebrated my birthday too. I was actually late because I didnt expect them to have dinner early so I felt a bit bad. Monday evening, met jingyun, teow, weiliat, zhizi and theresa for a simple dinner at pasta cafe. I just wanted to meet them for dinner only, kind of just a get-together for my birthday. We head off to baker's inn at paragon after dinner and they surprised me with a piece of chocolate cake, which tasted heavenly, with a candle on top. A small gesture but meant a lot to me. Weiliat gave me a bottle of red wine, which is unexpected, but i though it was unique to receive one because no one gave me wines as presents before. Jingyun and the others got me mango vouchers! Yippeee!!!! Zhizi got me a white coin puch with a cat cake at the front and a pair of earrings. Really touched that they got me these gifts, but it was the whole evening of having dinner, chatting and laughing that meant the most to me. At this point of my life, I feel that it does not matter at all what you receive on your birthday, but who you spent it with that makes you feel happy.
I still went for band prac on tuesday and met louis for dinner before that to catch up. He told me he is waiting news on his scholarship application from Miami University. Hope he gets it! After prac, huimin and the others surprised me with a cheesecake and everyone sang happy birthday. Its special to me because it might be the last time that symphonia friends are singing a birthday song for me. Aloysius is the funny one. That night after finish msn with him online, he sms me saying how stupid he is to forget that it was my birthday and wished me a belated one. The message was so funny....haha...i didnt really mind because i guess he has too much on his mind. anyway, its the thoughts that count and he did sms me soon after he remembered.
Yesterday, I went out with theresa, yanhui, edwin, zhizi, kelvin and liangjun. they got me a bag which will be useful when i start working. Went to the job fair at suntec and applied for a position with metro as retail executive. there was a complimentary photo taking for attching it to the application form, but the i looked terrible in the photo : (. We got kelvin a vest from new urban male as a birthday present for him. He loves it. Lj spotted a different hairstyle yesterday, which i thought was nice.
Till now, still no job...more depressing by the day.....maybe its the job search for the past few months that is causing stress in me, which caused the breakouts on my face?
Friday is coming soon.....not so sure if i am looking forward to it.....
